Management promotion at the Coniston Hotel
One of the Yorkshire Dales website's high profile accommodation advertisers, the award winning Coniston Hotel and Country Estate near Skipton has further strengthened its food and beverage team with the promotion of Mark Wells.
Mark has been appointed as food and beverage manager following two years at the award winning hotel as deputy manager. He has previous experience at venues across the Fylde Coast and the Lake District. His new role will involve overseeing the three restaurants on site as well as the conference and banqueting operation. Mark will also be responsible for the management and training of forty five food and beverage staff members.
This promotion comes after the recent appointment of executive head chef, Simon Bolsover. Mark and Simon will be working closely together to evolve the food experience within The Huntsman’s Lodge, Macleod’s restaurant and the spa brasserie "Nourish".

The Coniston Hotel won the title of "Best Hotel in Yorkshire" at the prestigious White Rose Awards in 2014 and won again in the category of "Business Tourism at the White Rose Awards in 2015. In 2015 the hotel also opened its new luxury spa.
