The Craven Lime Works
Situated between the villages of Langcliffe and Stainforth the Craven Lime Works was once an important site for the industrial production of lime, but was closed down around the start of the Second World War and is now a designated conservation area.
Although derelict for many years and now overgrown in pleasant woodland several important buildings and features of the original plant remain, including an excellent twenty two chamber Hoffman Kiln.
