Ghaistrill's Strid

Ghaistrill's Strid is a narrow and rocky stretch of the River Wharfe which lies upstream of Grassington near to Grass Wood.

Here the river is forced along a fast moving channel, and although not as well known as the notorious Strid further downstream near Bolton Abbey Ghaistrill's Strid is nevertheless a picturesque spot and within relatively easy walking distance of Grassington village.
