By rail
Regular rail services are available from cities throughout the UK to various towns and villages within the dales area, including Skipton, Settle and Kirkby Stephen (the latter of which lie on the world famous Settle to Carlisle line). From these places it is possible to travel by bus to other destinations deep within the dales (see below).
