Yorkshire Dales beekeeping business launches new website

A new website has been launched by the Yorkshire Beekeeper, making it easier for customers across the UK to enjoy genuine local honey and handmade beeswax candles produced in the heart of North Yorkshire and the Yorkshire Dales.

Based in the market town of Settle, beekeeper Matthew Bravery (pictured above) supported by his partner Emma manage more than 80 hives across the North Craven area of the Yorkshire Dales. Their honeys - from heather and hedgerow to wildflower and moorland - capture the unique flavours of the dales landscape. All honey is jarred by hand, never blended, and fully traceable from hive to jar.

The new website not only features an online shop but also tells the story behind the beekeeping business, details about upcoming markets and events, and updates from Matthew's work mentoring new beekeepers and running educational projects, including with nearby Giggleswick School.

Says Matthew: "We love meeting people at our market stalls, but many customers asked how they could get our honey in between events. The website means they can now order directly from us, and it also gives us a chance to share more about our beekeeping journey, our seasonal honeys, and the sustainability at the heart of what we do."

Alongside honey the website also showcases pure beeswax candles handmade by Matthew's mother, Brenda, using wax from the family's own hives. Each candle is crafted at home, with nothing added, making them natural, sustainable and unique.
