Bainbridge
Bainbridge is a picturesque village in Upper Wensleydale between Aysgarth and Hawes.
With its large village green, Bainbridge is situated at the head of Raydale and near where the River Bain (reputedly England's shortest river) meets the River Ure in Upper Wensleydale.
The village is overlooked by the distinctive flat topped hill of Addlebrough - the site of an iron age fort. The route of a Roman road called Cam High Road also leads from Bainbridge over Wether Fell in the direction of Ingleton.
