Drought conditions hit the Yorkshire Dales
Following a relatively dry winter and an unprecendented hot summer with record high temperatures being recorded in the England a state of drought in Yorkshire as well as other parts of the country was declared by the Environment Agency in August 2022.
Levels in reservoirs such as Thruscross (pictured above) are noticably low, and the public and businesses are being urged to limit their use of supplies.
