Kilnsey Crag
With its fearsome overhang, Kilnsey Crag is an impressive limestone cliff just outside the small village of Kilnsey in Upper Wharfedale which is popular with rock climbers and sightseers alike.
The main face of the crag is Great Scar limestone, the overhang having been formed when a huge glacier filled the valley, undercutting the rock during the course of the last ice age.
