The Smelt Mill Chimney
A distinctive chimney on Malham Moor is all that really remains of an old smelting mill which was used to smelt lead (from galena) and zinc (from calamine) which was mined on Pikedaw Hill.
Close nearby is the smelt mill sink, which is believed to be the main source of Malham Beck at Malham Cove Rising.
