Robin Hood - Prince of Thieves

Parts of the 1991 movie "Robin Hood - Prince of Thieves" (which starred Kevin Costner in the title role) were filmed in the Yorkshire Dales.

Locations in the Yorkshire Dales region which were used in the movie included Aysgarth Falls (where the fight between Robin Hood and Little John was filmed) and Hardraw Force in Wensleydale (where Robin took a sneaky naked swim).

Parts of the movie were also filmed at other locations in northern England, including an iconic scene at Sycamore Gap on Hadrian's Wall.
