Harewood

Harewood is a stately estate village north of Leeds at the very end of Lower Wharfedale (pictured above).

Although lying at the very edge of the "classicial" Yorkshire Dales area itself, the area has a special connection with the dales in hosting a purpose built set for the filming of the popular T.V. soap "Emmerdale" (though it should be noted that this set is not usually open to the public).

Attractions in and around Harewood include the magnificent Harewood House (the estate for which the village was developed to support), and the area is also known for the Harewood Hill Climb.
