Ruskin's View, Kirkby Lonsdale

Named after John Ruskin (who was associated with the area), Ruskin's View is the panorama seen from a vantage point just outside Kirkby Lonsdale which looks over the Lune Valley towards Casterton Fell and Barbondale, and which was painted by Turner.

John Ruskin called this "one of the loveliest views in England, and therefore the world"..
