Southerscales

Lying adjacent ot White Scars, the Southerscales area comprises a broad limestone plateau and limestone pavement below the north eastern flanks of Ingleborough near Chapel-le-Dale in the "Three Peaks" area of the Yorkshire Dales.

Caves and potholes in the area include Great Douk Cave and Great Douk Pot, Middle Washfold Caves, Braithwaite Wife Hole and Meregill Hole.
