Tan Hill
Tan Hill is a lonely spot high up on the moors above Swaledale - famous as being the site of England's highest (and arguably most isolated) public house, the Tan Hill Inn - a popular "stopping off" point on the Pennine Way long distance footpath as it passes through the Yorkshire Dales area.
